Big Island Hawaii - The Manta Rays are huge - about 10 feet in diameter but they are gentle and just left us alone. Occasionally one would come very close and rub against me as it was feeding.

Costa Rica - Snorkeling in Golfo Papgayo - Long-Spined Black Sea Urchins. We did an excursion on the Golfo De Papagayo and part of that included snorkeling. It wasn't very interesting and we only really saw sea urchins and a limited number of fish species.

Oahu - Shark Diving - Galapagos Shark. I went on a Shark snorkeling excursion off the North Shore Oahu, Hawaii. It was snorkeling in open ocean and not in a cage. The sharks were weary of us and did not get closer than 25 or 30 feet. The sharks know that when the boats run their motors they are likely to get fed and were more interested in the chum and pieces of tuna that were tossed into the water than us. It was quite a fun experience and I hope to do it again one day.
